Shihan Magnus Virgin Head Coach/Instructor (Judo, MMA & Catch Wrestling Instructor)
Magnus Virgin was born and raised in Visby, Sweden. Since 1980, he has studied many martial arts styles, including Shintai Ryu Ju-Jutsu (now known as Shintai Kempo), American Tactical Goju Ryu Karate, Shorinji Kempo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wado-ryu Karate, Kung Fu and Bas Rutten’s Mixed Martial Arts System.
His studies took him to Hombu in Japan, the headquarters of Shorinji Kempo, where he stayed and studied this style. Magnus has been teaching martial arts since 1986, both privately and in his dojos in Sweden, Miami Beach and Coral Springs. He taught the Miami Beach Police Officers hand-to-hand combat. He is also a former Instructor in Bas Rutten’s MMA System.
Magnus is also an avid Scuba Diver. He earned his instructors license through PADI in 1989. He has since retired as a Scuba Instructor and now holds the title of “Emeritus Instructor” (retired). He also enjoys golf and tennis. Magnus and his family live in Parkland, Florida.
